There are 8 species of Bears in the world:
- Black Bear (Ursus Americanus) or American Black Bear, Cinnamon Bear, Kermode Bear, Glacier Bear, and Florida Black Bear.

- Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus) or Ice Bear, Nanook, Sea Bear, White Bear and Walking Bear.
- Asiatic black Bear (Selenaarctos Thibetanus) or Black beast, Dog Bear, Formosa Bear, and Giant cat Bear (Japan).
- Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus) or Aswail, Honey Bear, Jungle joker, and Lip Bear.
- Spectacled Bear (Tremarctos ornatus) or short-faced Bear.

Bears Pictures - Physical characteristics
Bears are found in many parts of the world. They inhabit a great variety of habitats from Arctic
ice to tropical forests. All Bears have a large massive body, short legs, small round ears, forward facing eyes, and a plantigrade walk (on the heels, like humans). The polar species is entirely a carnivore because there is no plant matter in its habitat. The panda, on the other hand, is a plant eater. All other Bears are omnivores and opportunistic eaters that feed on a variety of available food from herbs to large game.
